Return and Refund Policy

Last updated: 1 March 2026

Overview

At Saladiate, operated by Lingua Learn Australia, we want every student to feel confident about their investment in language learning. Because our services are delivered digitally through live online lessons rather than physical goods, traditional return policies do not apply. Instead, this policy sets out the circumstances under which you may be eligible for a full or partial refund, the items that are non-refundable, and the process for requesting your money back.

Full Refund — Unused Course Packages

If you have purchased a multi-lesson course package and have not attended or consumed any of the included sessions, you may request a full refund within fourteen (14) calendar days of the date of purchase. To qualify for a full refund under this provision:

Once these conditions are verified, the full purchase price will be refunded to the original payment method.

Pro-Rata Refund — Partially Completed Packages

If you have already attended one or more lessons within a purchased package but wish to discontinue, you may be eligible for a pro-rata refund. The refund amount is calculated by subtracting the value of lessons already delivered (charged at the standard single-lesson rate rather than the discounted package rate) from the total amount you paid.

For example, if you purchased a ten-lesson package for AUD 450 and attended three lessons, the three completed sessions would be valued at the single-lesson rate of AUD 55 each (AUD 165 total). Your pro-rata refund would be AUD 450 minus AUD 165, equalling AUD 285.

Pro-rata refund requests must be submitted within thirty (30) days of your most recent attended lesson. Requests received after this window will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and may be declined.

Non-Refundable Items

The following purchases and services are not eligible for a refund under any circumstances:

Cancellation by Saladiate

In rare circumstances, we may need to cancel a course or program — for instance, if a specialised course does not reach the minimum number of enrolments, or if unforeseen events prevent us from delivering the service. If we cancel a course before it has commenced, you will receive a full refund. If cancellation occurs partway through a program, you will receive a pro-rata refund for all remaining, undelivered sessions calculated at the price you originally paid per lesson within your package.

We will notify you of any such cancellation as early as possible and, where feasible, offer you the option to transfer your remaining credit to an alternative course of equal or lesser value.

How to Request a Refund

To initiate a refund, please contact our support team using one of the methods below. Include your full name, the email address associated with your student account, the course or package you wish to claim a refund for, and a brief explanation of the reason for your request.

We aim to acknowledge all refund requests within two (2) business days. Once your request has been reviewed and approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method within five (5) to ten (10) business days. The exact timing may vary depending on your bank or card issuer.

Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank. Filing a chargeback without first attempting to resolve the matter with us may result in your student account being suspended until the dispute is settled. We are committed to resolving refund queries promptly and fairly.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010). If our services fail to meet a consumer guarantee — for example, if they are not provided with due care and skill — you may be entitled to a remedy regardless of the terms set out above.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Return and Refund Policy from time to time. Any revisions will be published on this page with a new "last updated" date. Changes will not apply retroactively to purchases made before the revised policy took effect.
